I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run, do not walk, to your bookstore or computer and get this book! It is beautifully written and is a wonderful story of a blind girl in occupied France during WWII, her father, her great uncle, an assortment of housekeepers and neighbors and a parallel story of a young boy assigned to a radio unit in the German army. The story goes back and forth in time and changes point of view from the two protagonists. I was completely engrossed in the descriptions the author paints regarding Marie Laure ( the young blind girl) and how she maneuvers first in Paris and then by the seashore where she lives during the occupation. Wonderful story, outstanding narration and captivating characters along with a hold your breath ending. Highly recommended. Perfect for a snowy weekend read
