Lunch with 10,000 of my friends

That’s what the Massachusetts Conference for Women felt like! I got to attend this year, and it was the 10th anniversary of the conference. Today’s event is now officially the largest women’s event of its kind in the US. Wow!
I left my house at 5:30 am to compensate for ceaseless early morning traffic on the MassPike and to get parking at the Boston Convention Center, versus a parking lot with shuttle service. I also had to wrangle 8 of my colleagues for name tags etc.

This is the hall for the main sessions as I walked by about 7:00 am.

Morning keynote included a “chat” with Anne Finucane of State Street Corp and Tory Burch the designer. Anne recommended Tory’s coffee table book “In Color” as “gorgeous, just buy it for yourself” and I checked it out in the conference bookstore.

She was right! But I didn’t want to lug it around, so maybe Santa will drop it off.

The luncheon keynotes were terrific and featured Academy Award winng actress Lupita N’Yongo followed by
