Cheese stands alone

I always like a nice cheese tray for a party or as cocktail food when you invite guests for dinner. It’s satisfying, easy, goes well with wine or beer or hard liquor and if your party goers hit the door and they are famished, it is always enough to take the edge off.

You only need three or four choices. My last cheese tray was for our little bash last weekend and featured all the usual suspects. Some baby Brie that are oh so conveniently wrapped in little tubs, a triple cream, a Colby ( for the Hubs) and a manchego. Add some grapes, a few apple slices and fresh French bread, and you are good to go. Works for fall, winter, spring or summer with some seasonal variations. In fact for summer, this can be dinner!
